Make Your Own DIY Whiteboard

You can make a whiteboard out of literally any frame with any background. Which means you can switch out that ugly dinner plan whiteboard for something a little more...aesthetically pleasing.

I personally just wanted a new calendar, a big one that fit my specific needs. And instead of spending $30 on a giant whiteboard I spent about $15. Hurray for Hobby Lobby and their 40% off coupons!

Here's what you'll need:

-a piece of paper to plan on

-a pencil

-a ruler

-a sharpie

-posterboard or paper to fit behind the frame (you can use my printables!!!)

-a frame (this can be any frame with a clear insert in the front; mine has a plastic insert instead of glass because I used a poster frame)

Let's do this!

Step One: Measure out your frame and decide how you want the background to look. Make sure you leave room for frame overlap around the edges. If you just want a plain whiteboard or you already have a printable ready, you can skip to step Three!

Step Two: Using the pencil and the ruler, lightly (do NOT press hard) draw out your calendar, menu plan, etc. Once you have everything the way you want it, trace the pencil using the sharpie and the ruler (use the ruler to make sure your lines stay straight). Use a good eraser to get rid of any pencil lines that go past your sharpie lines.

Step Three: Add your background to your frame and seal that frame up! Use command strips to hang your board on the wall without hurting the wall, or hot glue magnets to the back so you can put your white board on the fridge!
